The Project
Med Racing is an ocean sailing team founded by skipper Marco Guerra in 2023 to participate in the Class40 Mediterranean Trophy on board Imagin’Act-Socomec. After this first experience, which ended with second place in the rankings, the sporting project continues: a unique adventure that combines passion for the sea, technological expertise, innovation and social commitment.
Marco Guerra
Marco Guerra, born in Bari (Italy) in 1972, is the skipper of the Class40 Imagin’Act – Socomec.
After managing a shipyard in the south of France for ten years, he returned to his first passion. In 2023 he founded Med Racing, an ocean sailing team to participate in Class40 regattas.
Marco Guerra started sailing at the age of 10 and has never stopped. With the 470 Olympic class he participated in World Championships, European Championships, the Mediterranean Games and faced an Olympic campaign before dedicating himself to offshore sailing.
Sail Boat
After second place at the Mediterranean Trophy with boat number 171, Med Racing and its partners have decided to launch a new Class40. The next Imagin’act–Socomec, built by Global Service Yacht, was born from a project by Marco Guerra/D’Ubaldo-Rosso.
The Class40 has assigned the number 207 to the new Imagin’Act–Socomec. The boat is the result of a fantastic laboratory for testing and developing new solutions with the aim of make tomorrow’s navigation cleaner and safer.

From the beginning, the Med Racing project has been based on the partnership with Socomec, E’nergys and Imagin’Act to create a committed, coherent and participatory sponsorship program, extended to other partners, always putting people at the center of the objectives.
